“There’s nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.”
~Walter Wellesley “Red” Smith

Opening veins is precisely what writing can feel like from time to time. The words get stuck, the ideas elude, and often the creative juices are spent on other more pressing endeavors. Sometimes though, all it takes to get started is a nudge from someone else or, if time is an issue, all is needed is someone else to write the project for you.
Words n’ Wags is a freelance writing and tutoring business designed to help organizations and individuals with their writing projects. Started by Gretchen Dietz, a 22 year veteran teacher, Words n’ Wags offers help with newsletters, personal and business correspondence, and editorial advice on manuals, presentations, or personal writing projects. In addition, Gretchen works with young writers — ages 10-20 — to help them develop strong writing skills as well as develop an enjoyment of the writing process.
If you need a nudge — someone to look over what you’ve written and offer suggestions and advice — or you need a helping hand — someone to take your ideas and make them work — then Words n’ Wags can help. No sense in more than one of us opening our veins if we don’t have to!
